List of AstLinux Board Types

Note -> For AstLinux 1.3.0 and later, all serial consoles are 115200 baud 8N1.

Single/Multi core boards - SMP (32-bit):

• geni586 - Generic x86 board - video console (VGA) - i586/i686
• geni586-serial - Generic x86 board - serial console - i586/i686

Multi core boards - SMP (64-bit):

• genx86_64 - Generic x86 board 64-bit - video console (VGA) - x86_64
• genx86_64-serial - Generic x86 board 64-bit - serial console - x86_64
• genx86_64-vm - Generic x86 board 64-bit for VMs (with VMware Tools, KVM, Xen, Hyper-V guests plus VirtIO drivers) - video console (VGA) - x86_64

Note -> For AstLinux 1.2.10 and earlier, all serial consoles are 19200 baud 8N1, unless otherwise noted.

Single core boards (32-bit):

• alix - PC Engines Alix 2Dxx series - serial console 38400 baud 8N1 (256 MB RAM) - i586
• net5501 - Soekris net5501 - serial console 19200 baud 8N1 (256 or 512 MB RAM) - i586

Single/Multi core boards - SMP (32-bit):

• geni586 - Generic x86 board - video console (VGA) - i586/i686
• geni586-serial - Generic x86 board - serial console - i586/i686

Multi core boards - SMP (64-bit): (Not before AstLinux 1.2.5)

• genx86_64 - Generic x86 board 64-bit - video console (VGA) - x86_64
• genx86_64-serial - Generic x86 board 64-bit - serial console - x86_64
• genx86_64-vm - Generic x86 board 64-bit for VMs (with KVM, Xen guests plus VirtIO drivers) - video console (VGA) - x86_64 - (Not before AstLinux 1.2.7)

Images/updates for these unsupported boards will no longer be provided by the AstLinux team, neither on the AstLinux website nor on the custom build page.

If you have installed the AstLinux Development Environment (ADE) on your computer, you still have the ability to build custom images for these boards.
Keep in mind that these boards have only 128 or 256MB RAM, you might need to disable some packages.
