Old hardware can't be supported forever, though the AstLinux Project makes an effort to support old hardware as long as practically possible.
AstLinux 1.3.10 and later, only 64-bit, x86_64 installations are supported.
Important: Settings for Serial Console: 19200 baud for AstLinux 1.2.10 and earlier, 115200 baud for AstLinux 1.3.0 and later!
Includes the AstLinux bootloader, runnix-0.5

Generic x86-32bit (Serial Console) download:
AstLinux 1.3.8 Generic x86-32bit (Serial Console)
Some old generic x86 hardware may contain a CPU that does not support PAE, notably some old, but popular HP thin clients with a Transmeta Crusoe CPU.
The AstLinux bootloader, runnix-0.4
and earlier works with non-PAE hardware, included with AstLinux 1.2.10 and earlier. AstLinux 1.3 and later default to runnix-0.5
which requires a CPU with PAE, but AstLinux 1.3 will also boot fine with runnix-0.4
.
For a new installation on a legacy non-PAE board, you can “bootstrap” the process by first installing AstLinux 1.2.10 and then perform a “System Firmware Upgrade:” to a newer AstLinux image (up to 1.3.8).
Legacy Generic x86-32bit (Video Console) download:
AstLinux 1.2.10 Generic x86-32bit (Video Console)
Legacy Generic x86-32bit (Serial Console) download:

After initially installing with 1.2.10 … System tab → “System Firmware Upgrade:” to the latest available version (up to 1.3.8).
Legacy PC Engines ALIX download:
AstLinux 1.2.10 PC Engines ALIX ISO Installer
AstLinux 1.2.10 is the last official release for the PC Engines ALIX, though a custom build can be used
to generate 1.3 series firmware upgrade images (up to 1.3.8).
